The ZHQ-S type gravel flame arrestor is a critical safety device designed to prevent the spread of flames and backfire in pipelines and equipment conveying flammable and explosive gases or liquids, thereby avoiding potential explosions and fire accidents. It operates based on the combined principles of heat transfer and wall effect: when flames enter the arrestor, they are split into numerous tiny flame streams by the gravel fire-resistant layer. The extensive contact between these flame streams and the gravel surface enhances heat dissipation, reducing the flame temperature below the ignition point of the medium. Meanwhile, the narrow gaps between gravel particles increase the collision probability of free radicals (key to combustion reactions) with the wall, significantly reducing the number of active free radicals and terminating the combustion reaction.
This product is widely applicable to pipelines transporting flammable gases and liquids such as gasoline, kerosene, diesel, benzene, toluene, crude oil, hydrogen, and natural gas. It is commonly installed in torch systems, oil and gas recovery systems, heating furnace fuel gas pipelines, gas purification systems, gas analysis systems, and coal mine gas emission systems. It can be used in conjunction with breather valves or independently to provide reliable flame retardant protection for industrial production processes.

Excellent Flame Retardant and Explosion Suppression Performance: It has passed strict flame retardant and explosion suppression tests, successfully blocking flames in 13 consecutive subsonic flame tests. The fire resistance test shows no backfire phenomenon even after 1 hour of continuous burning, fully meeting the safety requirements for flammable medium pipelines.

Superior Corrosion Resistance: The shell is available in carbon steel or stainless steel (such as 304, 316L), and the gravel fire-resistant layer is matched with corrosion-resistant auxiliary components. This combination enables the product to resist corrosion from most acidic, alkaline, and salt-containing media, making it suitable for harsh working environments with strong corrosiveness.

Rational Structure and Easy Installation & Maintenance: The overall design is compact and lightweight, reducing the load on the pipeline. It adopts a flange connection method, which is simple and convenient for installation and disassembly. High Pressure Resistance and Reliable Sealing: The shell has undergone strict hydrostatic testing to ensure it can withstand the impact pressure generated by explosions. The flange connection adopts FF, RF, or MFM sealing surfaces, matching corresponding gaskets to achieve reliable sealing performance and prevent medium leakage under working pressure ranges of 0.25-4.0MPa or 150-300LB.
