一、Product Introduction
The Food Grade Pneumatic Actuated Butterfly Valve is a specialized fluid control device designed exclusively for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries, integrating food safety compliance, pneumatic automation and reliable fluid control. It uses a disc-shaped butterfly plate as the core control component, with compressed air as the power source to drive the pneumatic actuator, and realizes on-off or throttling control of fluid media through 90-degree rotation of the butterfly plate.
This valve strictly complies with international food safety standards such as FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration), EU 10/2011 and 3-A Sanitary Standard. All materials in contact with media are non-toxic, odorless, and easy to clean, avoiding secondary pollution of food materials. It is widely used in the production processes of drinking water, dairy products, juice, beer, edible oil, meat processing and pharmaceutical preparations, and is especially suitable for scenarios requiring high sanitary levels, fast switching and automatic control, ensuring the safety and stability of the fluid conveying process.

Food-Grade Material Compliance: All parts in contact with media (valve body, butterfly plate, seal ring) are made of food-grade materials that meet FDA and 3-A standards. The valve body and butterfly plate are usually made of 304/316L stainless steel (316L has better corrosion resistance for acidic media), and the seal ring adopts food-grade EPDM, silicone rubber or PTFE. These materials are non-toxic, tasteless, do not release harmful substances, and can withstand the corrosion of food acids, alkalis and organic components.

Sanitary Structure for Easy Cleaning: Adopts a sanitary design without dead corners—internal cavity is polished to Ra ≤ 0.8μm (mirror polishing optional), and there is no groove, gap or convex structure where media can accumulate. It supports CIP (Clean-in-Place) and SIP (Sterilize-in-Place) cleaning methods, which can realize online cleaning and sterilization without disassembling the valve, ensuring that no residual media remains and avoiding bacterial growth.

Efficient Pneumatic Actuation & Precise Control: Equipped with food-grade dedicated pneumatic actuator (single-acting or double-acting), the valve has a sensitive response and can complete switching in 1-5 seconds. When matched with an intelligent positioner, it can realize precise throttling control of flow, meeting the requirements of different process links (such as batching, filling) for flow adjustment. It supports linkage with PLC and DCS systems to realize automatic production line control.

Reliable Soft Sealing & Zero Leakage: Adopts food-grade soft sealing structure, the seal ring is closely fitted with the butterfly plate, and has good elasticity and wear resistance. It can realize zero leakage under rated working conditions, avoiding cross-contamination between media and external impurities entering the pipeline. The seal ring is easy to replace and has a long service life.

Corrosion Resistance & Durability: The 304/316L stainless steel body has excellent corrosion resistance to food media such as organic acids (citric acid, lactic acid), sugars and oils. The surface of the actuator is treated with anti-corrosion (anodized aluminum alloy shell), which can adapt to humid and corrosive working environments in food processing workshops. The overall structure is compact, easy to install and maintain, and reduces later use costs.
