1.1 Product Description
The Micro Aseptic Sampling Valve is designed for small-volume, hygienic and microbiological sampling from tanks, vessels and process pipelines. Its compact construction makes it suitable for applications where only a very small sample quantity is required for laboratory testing, microbiological analysis or quality control.
Depending on the valve configuration, sampling can be performed through a dedicated micro sampling outlet or by using a fine hypodermic needle through a self-sealing membrane or elastomer plug. This design helps minimize sample volume and reduce exposure of the process medium to the external environment.
The valve is suitable for food, beverage, dairy, brewing, pharmaceutical and biotechnology processing systems where frequent small-volume sampling is required.
1.2 Working Principle
During sampling, a small quantity of process medium is collected through the dedicated micro sampling point.
For needle-type designs, a fine hypodermic needle passes through a self-sealing elastomer plug or membrane to collect the sample. After the needle is removed, the sealing element closes automatically, helping maintain hygienic separation between the process system and the surrounding environment.
The compact sampling path also helps reduce product loss compared with conventional larger sampling valves.
